The Ins and outs of body image and desirabilty in American Culture |

I think this image is absolute garbage. I can’t even put my thoughts into words because of how much this sort of crap ticks me off. While I’m sure the message behind this is to make healthier choices, whoever made this did a really terrible job.
This is encouraging the stereotypes and stigmas against overweight individuals, by saying they’re living an unhealthy lifestyle/making unhealthy choices. Then there’s the thinner women, holding her apple ‘cause obviously she makes better choices.
Obviously.
I’m sorry but you can eat like crap and be thin, and you can eat healthy and be overweight. Fricken eating chocolate won’t make you fat and apples won’t make you thin. flaskjfd;asf Eating chocolate doesn’t mean you have an unhealthy lifestyle, and eating apples doesn’t mean you’re living a healthy lifestyle.
dang it
Reblogging for the so true comment!
I’m highly surprised that that the models even agreed to pose for this picture.
Skinny does not equal healthy, it can actually be less healthy than being a bit “overweight”.
this is a joke.
